Leve Feyenoord 1!

What do you guys think is the most intense football rivalry in the world?
There are some really intense ones out there
Holy War: Cracovia v Wisla
El Clasico: Real v Barça
Klassieker: Ajax v Feyenoord
Superclasico: River Plate v Boca
Milano Derby: Inter v AC
Arsenal v Spurs
Manchester Derby: City v United

But as far as I knew Old Firm is the most intense one.
What do you guys think?

Superclasico: Boca Juniors vs River Plate is the nastiest one I've heard. people legitimately get hurt, not just on the pitch but in the stands, and I've also heard stories of people urinating onto other fans from the higher up seats in the stadium.

Im from Argentina, im not either fan of Boca or River, but that clasico is the one that has the very most mediatic marketing since they are the biggest clubs in my country.

I personally think that there are more intense rivalries in our league. For example, im a big fan of San Lorenzo de Almagro, our clasico (derby) is with Huracan, the last 20 years there has been many deaths due to clashes between both teams hoologians. In 2 years time the match was played at 11 AM because of this, or even visitors were not allowed to attend to the match.

Yeah "El Clasico" is a lot more intense, in my opinion. I'm not into football that much, but those two teams have been trying to beat the crap out of the other for AGES, and I don't just mean in the sense of beating each other on a football match, I mean legit physical threats from a player to the other. Though they're quite rare.

The tradition here is that every club, no matter if is football or basquet or even polo, the general criteria is that every team of any sport has a Clasico.

Any football team here in Argentina has an original derby.

Here each Clasico, no matter if is of First Division or fourth division, is played to death, the fans really hate their counterparts.

Tigre won 2-1 and ascended to First Division, Nueva Chicago was relegated to Second Division.

Huh. Interesting.

Don't say "basquet", though. Some people won't understand that you're referring to basketball.

How about those Eastern European derbies?
People in Balkan countries like Bosnia, Serbia and Albania can get really crazy.

However you also need to look at the number of fans both teams have.
If you have two teams with a sh*t load of fans, of course there will be more injuries. When smaller teams gain a lot of injuries the rivalry itself would probably be more intense.
If you take number of fans into account, Superclasico and El Clasico will be less intense, and you'll probably focus more on The Holy War, East London Derby, Old Firm, Tigre Vs Nueva Chicago, Sarajevo Derby, etc.
